Evva & Emma Duo

‘An outstanding partnership, they respond superlatively to the complexity, sensitivity and power of Chopin's and Schumann's works, playing with utter commitment, complete assurance and a beautiful, spotlessly clean sound.'

St George’s, Bristol,

Bristol Herald Courier

Evva Mizerska and Emma Abbate formed their Evva&Emma Duo in 2003. Since then they have performed in many European countries and in UK venues such as Fairfield Halls, Cheltenham Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, St George’s Bristol and Blackheath Halls.

Recent performances include appearances at the Salzburger Schlosskonzerte, Aldo Ciccolini Musical Association (Naples), Koscierzyna Chamber Music Festival (Poland), Pump Room (Bath), Chester Summer Music Festival, Hexham Abbey Festival of Music & Arts and various concert societies throughout the UK.

Their discography includes world-première recordings by Krzysztof Meyer, Algernon Ashton and, most recently, Stephen Dodgson. Published by Toccata Classics, their performances have been critically acclaimed in magazines such as The Strad, International Record Review, German Fono Forum and American Fanfare – where the Meyer album was selected as one of the five best CDs of 2009.

Contemporary music plays a central part in Evva and Emma’s careers: they have performed various works written for them and have given several world-premières including Two Romantic Pieces for Cello and Piano by Stephen Dodgson, Fable Fantaisiste by Graham Coatman, Numen by Piotr Grella Możejko and Blue Note by Weronika RatusiÅ„ska.

Veles Ensemble

The Veles Ensemble was founded in 2016 by three young successful London classical musicians – soloists, recitalists and performers in leading London chamber orchestras: Evva Mizerska – cello, Ralitsa Naydenova – viola and Hartmut Richter – violin.

The  ensemble is also committed to promoting new compositions and contemporary music: the Veles Ensemble recently recorded their debut CD with chamber music by British composer Steve Elcock, released on the Toccata Classics label in December 2018.
